How we work

Know what we're working on, why it matters, and what comes next.

We start with the decisions you're facing, connect them to the rest of your financial life, and help you follow through. Here's what that looks like, from the first conversation to the ongoing relationship.

The ReFrame Way

Understand the situation.
Then work through the decisions.

  1. Understand

We get to know what's important to you, the decisions you're facing, and what you already have in place.

We talk about your household, responsibilities, concerns, and priorities. We also look at the accounts, obligations, and professional relationships already in place, so recommendations start with your circumstances.

  2. Evaluate

We look at what's working, what deserves attention, and whether anything needs to change.

We compare the options and explain how a decision could affect your income, investments, taxes, and other priorities. That includes the trade-offs, risks, and assumptions involved, along with what may already be working well.

  3. Coordinate

We help you put decisions in order, work with your other professionals when needed, and revisit your plan as life changes.

Once you agree on a direction, we help identify the next actions, who needs to be involved, and what can wait. When a decision involves tax, legal, or insurance matters, we work with the appropriate professionals.

What to expect

From the first conversation forward.

The first conversation

You'll talk directly with Logan about what prompted you to reach out, what feels unresolved, and what kind of help you're looking for. It's a chance to ask initial questions and see whether working together makes sense.

You don't need perfectly organized records, every account statement, or a decision about moving accounts. Talking does not commit you to becoming a client.

Getting started

If we decide to work together, we begin gathering the information relevant to your priorities. This may include account statements, income and spending, tax returns, workplace benefits, insurance, estate documents, and beneficiaries.

Depending on your situation, we may examine retirement timing, Social Security or pensions, investment risk, Roth conversions, healthcare costs, family support, or long-term care needs. The work and recommendations depend on what you need.

The ongoing relationship

The relationship continues beyond the initial recommendations. We help you follow through on agreed actions, which may involve account changes, transfers, applications, or beneficiary updates, and clarify who's responsible for the next steps.

Where investment management is part of our work together, we manage and review your investments in the context of your plan. Through regular reviews and ongoing communication, we revisit income, spending, planning priorities, and recommendations as markets, family needs, or your circumstances change.

When decisions involve your CPA, attorney, or other professionals, we help coordinate the work so the next action fits with the rest of your financial life.

What would you like to talk through?

Tell me what's happening, what you're trying to decide, and what feels unresolved. That's a good place to start.
